Project: Theaster Gates

We were delighted and excited to have the opportunity to produce the visual identity, website, signage and print for American artist Theaster Gates' first UK public art project – a 24-hour, 24-day-long event sustained by continuous performance in an intimate temporary structure.

We worked closely with client Situations to create a simple, austere look for the show's collateral, including a single-page scrolling website with an interactive audio waveform that the user can control with his or her mouse.

A number of printed pieces accompany the show including an A6 programme, some beautifully letterpressed handbills to be given out on site and a series of 24 tinted pin badges: one for each hour of the day and available to purchase only during the hour in which you visit.
